Dr. Dan Burrell was invited by Dr. Pedrone to serve as Executive Pastor of New Testament Baptist Church and Vice-President of Dade Christian School and The Master's Academy in July, 2008. He is married to Julie and they have four children, Nathan, Megan, Katie and Josh.
Dr. Burrell started his ministry in 1983 as an English Teacher at Berean Christian Schools in West Palm Beach, FL. He later become a School Administrator, before becoming the Senior Pastor of Berean Baptist Church (now known as Grace Fellowship). He served in West Palm for a total of 17 years before moving to Charlotte, North Carolina where he served as the Senior Pastor of Northside Baptist Church for seven-and-a-half years.
With three degrees in Education including a doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Burrell has extensive experience with schools from preschool through graduate school. He was the second President of the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, has written multiple books and articles, has spoken at scores of conferences, has served on the Board of Directors at five different colleges and is an adjunct professor at multiple colleges and graduate schools including Liberty University, Boston Baptist College, Southern Evangelical Seminary and Davis College.
With seventeen years experience as a senior pastor of two large churches in addition to his Christian education experience, Dr. Burrell brings to the New Testament/Dade Christian staff a unique blend of experience and perspective. His long-time friendship with Dr. Pedrone and Dr. Virtue and his long-term associations with the NTBC/DCS/TMA family have made his entry into this ministry a smooth and exciting one.
